TEMPO

(a) Tempo Record Society, London
(b) Division of Vogue Records Ltd. Made in England.
(c) Record of the Month. Australian Record Company.

Three different labels, three companies, three labels - what is the connection between them, if anything. There is virtually no information on the companies. Field [F] does not even list the English release by Vogue Records. Miller [M] lists the Australian label - see below.

It isquite obvious that some very fine jazz has been reproduced on the label. It is this jazz that seems to link the three labels.

Miller [M] lists the label as existing between 1948 and early 1950, with a G-series of catalog 1 to 3, and a T-series from 001-014 from September 1948 to early 1950.
