Made in England by the Crystalate Gramophone Record Manufacturing Company Limited of Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Rust [R] notes that
there were three ‘Crown' labels issued in the USA and UK.
Unforntunately, Mr Rust does not always make it clear as what specific illustration his text refers to, so I note the following as only a presumption. The label was sold in F.W.Woolworth & Co. stores at 6 pence each between September 1935 and March 1937. As the (presumed) record indicates ‘Made in England', I presume these Woolworth stores are in Britain. Rust indicates that they were of excellent quality , and manufactured by the Crystalate Gramophone Record Manufacturing Company Limited of Tunbridge Wells, Kent. They featured many top-ranking British bands and popular artists of all kinds; some of the bands were listed under pseudonyms.
